Why Testers matter, for the customer and the maker
At LivMeraki natural skincare, we are so grateful for every person who visits us in-person or online. We’ve built our skincare range with love, care, and a deep belief in quality, and we want you to experience that before you commit to a product. That’s why we provide testers*: to allow you to explore our textures, scents, and formulations without having to open sealed items.
Why use tamper-proof packaging?
Tamper-proof seals are there to protect you. In skincare, more than many other industries, hygiene and safety are non-negotiable. A broken seal immediately means the product is no longer considered “new” or safe for sale. Once opened, even if untouched, we cannot resell it.
That means every opened product becomes a loss for a small business like ours.
Test before you buy, the right way
LivMeraki natural skincare provide testers for this exact reason! They’re clearly marked and available for you to sample:

The real cost of broken seals
Each time a product is opened against our policy, it must be removed from sale. Over time, this adds up to tens, hundreds, or even thousands of euros in wasted stock. For a large corporation, that might be a drop in the bucket. But for us, it’s significant.
That’s why we clearly display signs that say:
“Opened items must be paid for”
This isn’t just about policy; it’s about protecting our ability to serve our community with quality skincare at a fair price.
A note on recent events
We’ve recently encountered a few misunderstandings around this subject, and we feel it’s time to gently clarify why it’s important that we ask you to please not open sealed, tamper-proofed products on display.
While the vast majority of our customers are respectful and supportive (thank you!), we did have a couple of recent incidents where customers opened sealed products, and became upset when we explained our policy. Misunderstandings happen, but we kindly ask for respectful communication when these situations arise.
