It was all very well deciding to make a skincare range, but what factors were important to do it right?
Aim – functional products over indulgent products. Getting back to using natural botanical ingredients with a wealth of natural benefits and using hand-making techniques to make genuine and honest products
Ingredients – this was the most obvious one: High quality, sustainable and purposeful – no cheap bulking agents, no fillers, no synthetics. Simple.
Quality – from ingredients to production, product testing and packaging, every single component is carefully considered
All our product formulations undergo independent external assessment, so you can be assured of the quality and have complete confidence in the products. Additionally all products comply with Irish and EU regulation regarding the production and sale of cosmetics; not all small batch/handmade producers can claim this.
Price – must be affordable. With LivMeraki handmade natural skincare you are only paying for ingredients which serve a purpose being there and although prices are a reflection of the quality ingredients and the labour of love gone into each pot, it is paramount that it is affordable for everyone
Packaging – has to be sustainable. All LivMeraki handmade natural skincare packaging is recyclable or reusable. Please refer to individual product labelling for details
Handmade – as each skincare product is uniquely formulated and handmade, the same care and attention goes into every batch, every time, so you can be assured that the quality is closely monitored and standards are kept high
Small batch – This ensures that we have complete control over the process at every stage; we can closely monitor each batch, from start to hand poured finish
